Discussion & Conclusion
Q: Is it related to the results presented before? Do you consider them as coherent?
A: Excellent
Comments: The Discussion section thoroughly examines the impact of cardiovascular risk factors on the extent of coronary artery disease (CAD) in ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients who underwent primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). The analysis leads to a conclusion that states that every single risk factor should be treated with equal attention in terms of attaining knowledge of risk and risk factors.

Further comments on the paper
Comments: This is a single-center retrospective cohort study aiming at assessing the impact of risk factors for cardiovascular diseases (CVD) on the severity of coronary artery disease (CAD) among 104 acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients who underwent primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in United Arab Emirates (UAE). It also identifies the common prevalent and unrecognized or inadequately treated CVD risk factors resulting in STEMI. The findings demonstrate that there was no significant statistical difference between the risk factors and disease severity of single-vessel and multivessel diseases. It stresses on the importance of early screening and early detection of unrecognized or undertreated risk factors to prevent an acute coronary event. This study is limited as the sample size is small and it has information bias and recording bias.
Q: Would you recommend this manuscript for further publication?
A: Yes- Suitable to be published
If you have any questions and clarifications you can write to the journal.
