The handling fees are taken care of by the author(s) or by their institution/funding body/society on their behalf, typically in the form of an Article Publishing Charge. As an open-access publisher, Science Repository covers its costs for editorial staff and editing a paper by charging authors' institutes or respective research funding agencies. The nominal cost of handling and producing an article is covered through an Article Processing Charge (APC) for each accepted article. Article processing charge may vary from 49 GBP to 1699 GBP.
Waivers
Our ultimate vision is to bridge the digital research divide effectively. Since we believe in supporting the scientific community, we often provide waivers on our article publication charge. We automatically apply discounts or Article Publishing Charge waivers for authors in developing countries so that publishing in open access journals is accessible to all. The discount or waiver depends on the location of the institution of the authors. The co-authors and the corresponding author must all be from a Group A or Group B country to avail the publication charge waivers accordingly. Our team recognizes the country of the corresponding and co-author’s institutions during manuscript submission and accordingly offer publication charge waivers to authors who are eligible for the same. Waivers are automatically provided based on our policies and categorization of low-income/ low-middle-income countries. Authors need not request a waiver in Article Processing Charges. Receiving waivers do not affect the quality or publishing of the manuscript in our journal.
