Comments:
The Results are aptly supported by data and encompass all the relevant findings of the study including the compliance and tolerance and the acute toxicities of induction TPF (docetaxel, cisplatin and 5-fluorouracil) and CCRT (concurrent chemoradiotherapy). The Discussion puts forth the rationale for taking up the study, effectively describes the relevant literature and enlists the implications of the findings from the present study in that context. The study concludes that the standard dose TPF followed by CCRT is well tolerated in Chinese patients with manageable toxicities and allows adequate dosage of concurrent cisplatin to be delivered subsequently.

Further comments on the paper
Comments: This retrospective study aims to explore the tolerability of docetaxel, cisplatin and 5-fluorouracil using standard dose in Chinese patients with stage IVA nasopharyngeal carcinoma and report on its preliminary efficacy. The study is of significance since nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) has a unique endemic distribution and approximately 129,079 new cases are diagnosed each year worldwide. Patients treated with TPF followed by concurrent chemoradiotherapy from January 2017 to January 2020 are retrospectively reviewed. The limitations of this study include a small patient sample, relatively short median follow-up of 2 years and the retrospective nature of the study with inherent record bias.
Q: Would you recommend this manuscript for further publication?

If you have any questions and clarifications you can write to the journal.
