Purpose and Significance of Study: This study, comprising two case reports, presents a couple of very critical challenges in the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia in patients presenting with COVID-19.

 

Fit with Scope of Journal: The manuscript is of very high interest for the journal Clinical Oncology and Research.

 

The Discussion lays down in detail the various considerations while deciding whether to interrupt the oral antileukemia treatment, and whether to intubate for acute myeloid leukemia patients. All the relevant studies are cited, and the challenges in treatment are clearly conveyed.

 

o   The manuscript contains a few minor errors (already corrected in the galley proof), listed below –

 

·       In the Introduction, in the 2nd sentence “outpatient-based” must be replaced with “outpatient”; in the 4th sentence, “knew” must be replaced with “followed”; in the 5th sentence, “to” before “discuss” must be removed.

·       In the 2nd sentence of the 2nd paragraph of Case 1, “cannula” is misspelled.

·       In the 2nd sentence of the 2nd paragraph of Case 1, “she” must be replaced with “her condition”, and in the 4th sentence of the 2nd paragraph of Case 2, “he” must be replaced with “his condition”.
