Term Pregnancy in a Woman with Incomplete Transverse Vaginal Septum- An Interesting Case

Review Data

The cause of vaginal septum is unknown but is related to formation in fetal life by the Mullerian duct.

Symptoms of vaginal septum are dyspareunia, pelvic pain and obstruction of the fetal head during childbirth.  It is very important to find a vaginal septum as early as possible and this should be done by any gynaecological examination, then supplemented by 3D-TUL, laparoscopy and hysteroscopy to rule out uterine malformations. The effects of 2D-TULversus 3D-TUL is uncertain and depends on the clinician's experience and must not be left to diagnosis alone.  Surgical cleavage is the treatment and is best done before trying to conceive. If exceptionally, a septum is discovered during the childbirth, the further course of birth will be based on an estimate of whether to attempt vaginal delivery, provided that the fetus is in H-position. A thin septum can be passed, but the situation needs conversion to C-section frequently.

In conclusion, I think the article is too long and the point of the vaginal septum in delivery therefore unclear. Pictures should be focused on the vaginal septum in delivery. A good object and fine aspects but a shorter article focusing more directly on the vaginal septum in delivery would be ideal.
