The following case presentation highlights the clinical presentation of a rare condition in an adult and its management. The case description is adequate. The Discussion explains the challenges in treating the patient in the present case clearly. It also offers useful suggestions with respect to the treatment regimen. The report aptly recommends a multidisciplinary approach to ensure appropriate management of the condition. The Conclusion is consistent with the evidences presented in this article. The study concludes that embolization of the feeding vessel or preoperative embolization may reduce the intraoperative hemorrhagic complications.

Comments: This case report reviews the clinical presentation, work-up, and management of pulmonary sequestration presenting in a 31-year-old female patient. The study holds significance as pulmonary sequestration is a very rare congenital lung malformation. There are only a few reported cases in adults, for which diagnosis was mainly via histopathologic examination of the surgical specimen.
