Disseminated Pleural Malignant Melanoma
Disseminated Pleural Malignant Melanoma
Review Data
Purpose and Significance of Study: The incidence of primary malignant melanoma of the pleura and extensive pleural effusion due to malignant melanoma are rare.
Fit with Scope of Journal: The manuscript is of high interest for the journal Surgical Case Reports.
The manuscript has some issues (already corrected in the galley proof, except the highlighted ones, which require the author’s attention), which are listed below –
· The manuscript contains the description of the case, but it is incomplete without the treatment and outcome of the patient; also, an additional note about the significance of the case, its unusual nature, and the key takeaway from the case with reference to the existing literature are required.
· Abstract, keywords, and figure legends are missing; these must be provided.
· A few words are misspelled, e.g., “exudate” in the 4th sentence, and “immunohistochemical” in the 6th sentence.
