The Significance of Dynamics of ST Segment Changes When Assessing the Effectiveness of Mechanical Reperfusion of the Myocardium in Hyperglycaemic Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction with Persistent ST-Segment Elevation
Review Data
Purpose and Significance of Study: The manuscript evaluate the dynamics of ST-segment changes in electrocardiogram in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients with co-existing hyperglycaemia compared to those with normoglycaemia treated with percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), as well as to determine this parameter in the assessment of reperfusion effectiveness. STEMI being a very serious type of heart attack, one of the leading causes of death worldwide, this is an important piece of original research.
Fit with Scope of Journal: The manuscript is of high interest for the Journal of Integrative Cardiology Open Access.
A few corrections (already incorporated in the galley proof) in the manuscript are required. Some common errors in the manuscript are –
· “ST segment” must be hyphenated in all the places.
· “,” was omitted on numerous occasions, e.g., after “consequently” in the 1st sentence of Background in the Abstract section, after “admission” in the 1st sentence of Results in the Abstract section, and so on.
· Articles were omitted a few times, e.g., omission of “a” before “percutaneous” in the last sentence of Background in the Abstract section, omission of “the” before “systemic” in the 4th sentence in the Introduction section.
o The other errors are listed below –
· A shorter title would be preferable as the title is too long.
In the Abstract section –
Under Results –
· In the 6th sentence, the full form of “MACE” must be mentioned.
In the Material and Methods section –
In the 1st paragraph –
· In the 1st sentence, “of” must be inserted after “total”, and “ethic” must be replaced with “ethical”.
· In the 3rd sentence, “and” must be inserted before “primary”.
· In the 4th sentence, “exclusion” is misspelled, and “and” must be inserted before “patient”.
In the Results section –
In the 1st paragraph –
· In the 8th sentence, “the” before “higher” and “weaker” must be removed and “,” must be inserted after “glycemia”.
In the 2nd paragraph –
· In the last sentence, “incidence” must be in the plural, and “was” must be replaced with “were”.
