Comments:
The Discussion section highlights that most of the patients presenting to the tertiary care centre were in advanced stage with high nodal burden disease. However, those who presented in early stage, with favorable histology and underwent multidisciplinary cancer care enjoyed a good long survival. Further it states that the most commonly affected age group were 31-40 years in males and 11-20 years in females. The Conclusion puts emphasis on proper investigations and referral, if any suspicion of malignancy is encountered as germ cell tumor is primarily a disease of young and adolescents.

Further comments on the paper
Comments: This retrospective study reports the experience of extra-cranial germ cell tumors at a tertiary referral centre, focusing on demography, histopathology, management, outcome and prognosis. It aims to evaluate the extracranial germ cell tumors with regards to gender, age, clinical presentation, pathology, management, acute toxicity and survival. The study is of significance as germ cell tumors are very rare and its incidence is increasing with time. There is a lack of recent data from India on epidemiology of germ cell tumors.
Q: Would you recommend this manuscript for further publication?
A: Yes - Suitable to be published
If you have any questions and clarifications you can write to the journal.
