Use of Cutis Graft as Biologic Prosthesis in Complicated Abdominal Closures: A Case Report

Purpose and Significance of Study: This is a report of a case where cutis graft was successfully used for complicated abdominal closure in recurrent complex ventral hernia. All acute and chronic hernia patients can benefit from the incorporation of this approach into surgical practice.

Fit with Scope of Journal: The manuscript suits the journal Journal of Clinical and Medical Case Reports.

There are some minor errors (already corrected in the galley proof), which are listed below –

 

The common errors are –

·       Omission of “the”, e.g., before “laxity” in the 3rd sentence of the 1st paragraph, before “use” in the next sentence, and so on.

·       Omission of “,”, e.g., after “OR” in the 1st sentence of the 5th paragraph, after “failure” in the 4th sentence of the 8th paragraph, and so on.

·       “Full-thickness”, “61-year-old”, “re-anastomosed”, and “well-nourished” must be hyphenated in all places.

The other errors are –

 

In the 1st paragraph –

·       In the 5th sentence, “cost” must be replaced with “costs”.

·       In the last sentence, “a multiply” must be replaced with “multiple”.

In the 3rd paragraph –

·       In the 5th sentence, “of” must be inserted after “couple”.

In the 8th paragraph –

·       In the 3rd sentence, “--” must be replaced with “,”.

In the 9th paragraph –

·       In the 3rd sentence, “,” before “but” must be removed.

·       In the 4th sentence, “simply” must be removed to maintain the formal tone.

·       In the 5th sentence, “to” must be inserted after “due”.

·       In the 6th sentence, “can” must be replaced with “could”.

·       In the last sentence, “–” must be replaced with “;”.

In the last paragraph –

·       “consideration of” must be replaced with “considering”, and “:” must be replaced with “;”.
