Anxiety Disorder and Alternating Bilateral Ptosis as the First Symptoms of Diabetes: A Case Report

Purpose and Significance of Study: This is the report of a rare case of diabetes in a 63-year-old woman, wherein anxiety disorder and alternating bilateral ptosis appeared as the first symptoms. The authors suggest a comprehensive treatment in such cases, which may help clinicians in handling similar cases in the future.

Fit with Scope of Journal: The manuscript is of very high interest for the journal Case Reports and Series in Surgery.

 

o   There are a few very minor errors in the manuscript (already corrected in the galley proof) which are listed below –

 

·       A common issue is that “alternate ptosis” must be replaced with “alternating ptosis” throughout.

·       In the 1st sentence, “,” must be inserted after “ptosis”, and “the” must be inserted before “pupillary”.

·       In the 2nd sentence, “,” must be inserted after “oculomotor nerve”.

·       In the 6th sentence, “bilateral” must instead be inserted before “ptosis”.

  In the last paragraph –

·       In the last sentence, “with” must be replaced with “including”, “anti-anxiety” must be replaced with “anxiety management”, and “taken” must be replaced with “pursued”.
