Manual Cranial Treatment in a Young Woman with Anorexia Nervosa: A Case Report

Purpose and Significance of Study: This is a report of a case of anorexia nervosa in which the manual cranial treatment employed was surprisingly successful. The pleasing course may encourage clinicians to consider manual cranial treatment in similar cases.

Fit with Scope of Journal: The manuscript is of very high interest for the journal Journal of Clinical and Medical Case Reports.

There are some minor errors (already corrected in the galley proof), which are listed below –

 

The common errors are –

·       Omission of “,”, e.g., after “death” in the 2nd sentence of Background in the Abstract, after “schema” in the 1st sentence of the 3rd paragraph of the Background, and so on.

·       Omission of articles, e.g., “a” before “delayed” in the last sentence of the 1st paragraph of the Background, before “few” in the 3rd sentence of the 2nd paragraph, and so on.

·       “Life-threatening”, “evidence-based”, and “four-week” must be hyphenated.

·       “A” must rather be referred to as “the patient”.

 

The other errors are –

 

In the Abstract –

  Under Case report –

·       In the 2nd sentence, “is” must be inserted after “approach”.

  Under Conclusion –

·       In the 1st sentence, “correlate” must be replaced with “correlates”.

In the Background –

  In the 1st paragraph –

·       In the 1st sentence, “to” before “death” must be removed.

·       In the 2nd sentence, “occasionally” must be replaced with “occasional”, and “in” before it must be removed.

·       In the 4th sentence, “only interest in life circles” must be replaced with “life of the patient revolves”.

  In the 2nd paragraph –

·       In the 3rd sentence, “bradycardias” must be replaced with “bradycardia”.

  In the 3rd paragraph –

·       In the 1st sentence, “shows” must be replaced with “results in”.

  In the 4th paragraph –

·       In the 3rd sentence, “a” before “reduced” must be removed.

In the Case history –

  In the 2nd paragraph –

·       In the 2nd sentence, “bodyweight” must be written as a single word.

·       In the 6th sentence, “,” before “if” must be removed.

·       In the 10th sentence, “an” before “AN” must be removed.

In the Follow-up –

  In the 2nd paragraph –

·       In the 2nd sentence, “,” after “felt” must be removed.

·       In the last sentence, “:” must be replaced with “–”, and “and” must be inserted before “meeting”.

  In the last paragraph –

·       “,” before “eating” must be replaced with “;”.

In the Discussion –

  In the 3rd paragraph –

·       In the 1st sentence, “bases” must be replaced with “based”, and “Sutherland” must be replaced with “Sutherland’s view”.

  In the last paragraph –

·       In the 8th sentence, “,” before “but” must be removed.
