Review Data

Q: Is the topic relevant to the journal area of interest? Is it contemporary and interesting for

researchers?

A: Very good

Comments:

The word “in” should be added after “injuries” in the Title.

Discussion & Conclusion

Q: Is it related to the results presented before? Do you consider them as coherent?

A: Good

Comments:

The Discussion thoroughly explains the type and severity of the injuries and the traumatic changes brought by the conflict. The Conclusion is apt in conveying the valuable guidance that the study provides for development of future public strategies concerning treatment of CMF injuries in an austere environment, as well as throws light on how scheduling follow-up appointments and a review of patient data would have potentially optimized analysis and potentially provided a better outcome for the patients.

Further comments on the paper

Comments: This case study presents craniomaxillofacial (CMF) injury as the result of war incidents to highlight the differences in injury type as well as the impact that an austere environment has on treatment. The significance of the understanding of injury patterns and the knowledge of their background have been underlined in the study. The physical impact of CMF injury has been looked upon, but the psychological gravity of such trauma which is of equal importance to surgical treatment has not been addressed. Lack of precision and accuracy in the report findings due to insufficiency of good documentation and radiological resources and the inability to apply any of the standardized classification systems such as ZS system comes out as few of the limitations of this study.

Q: Would you recommend this manuscript for further publication?

A: Yes - Suitable to be published

If you have any questions and clarifications you can write to the journal.
