Comments: This study throws light upon the active mechanism of the suction phase as a link between systole and diastole. The study holds significance as it has the potential to open a wide scenario on surgical techniques and medical treatments for many cardiac diseases that are still the focus of attention. This article puts forth the rationale for taking up the study, effectively describes the relevant literature and enlists the implications of the findings from the present study in that context.
