Comments: The Discussion illustrates the popular reconstructive technique of primary closure, skin graft or skin flap with respect to the size, histology, localization of the lesion, age and comorbidities of the patient providing appropriate literature It also discusses the types of flaps that can be used in different lesions with an aesthetic outcome. The innovative anchor flap demonstrates the versatility and highlight the advantages for extensive forehead defects reconstruction. The article draws its conclusion by stating that the use of anchor flap must be the first choice of treatment for closing forehead skin defects.

Further comments on the paper
Comments: This article describes a novel method for extensive forehead defects reconstruction involving a 78-year-old female patient presenting tumor on her left side of the forehead including temple and adjacent area, with a history of kidney transplantation and arterial hypertension. It further emphasizes, the tumor size and its localization are the two attributes to determine the kind of surgery maintaining maximal safe surgical margins, without face distortion and to ensure the most pleasing aesthetic effect. Most importantly, it states that the anchor flap provides a promising result for large (7 cm diameter) skin defects reconstruction in the frontotemporal area.
