Replaced Right Hepatic Artery Originating from the Common Hepatic Artery: A Case Report

Review Data

Purpose and Significance of Study: This is the first report of a case of an anatomic course of right hepatic artery (RHA) which involved proximal branching of the common hepatic artery to give rise to a replaced RHA, which coursed posterior to the portal vein and common bile duct to the right lobe of the liver.

Fit with Scope of Journal: The manuscript is of very high interest for the journal Surgical Case Reports.

The Discussion lays down the typical course for RHA and aptly discusses the clinical implications of aberrant RHA in this patient with reference to the existing literature.

o   The manuscript contains a few errors (already corrected in the galley proof), which are listed below

·       In the last sentence of the 1st paragraph of the Discussion, “are” must be replaced with “is”, and in the 2nd sentence of the last paragraph of the Discussion, “arise” must be replaced with “arises”.

·       In the 5th and last sentences of the 4th paragraph of the discussion, “a” before “RHA” must be replaced with “an”.

·       Articles (“the”, “a”, etc.) and commas were missing in a few places.
