Purpose and Significance of Study: The manuscript describes the case of a 56-year-old woman with symptomatic Bochdalek hernia, which is very rare. It also reviews other similar cases in the literature and provides suggestions for handling such cases.

Fit with Scope of Journal: The manuscript is of very high interest for the journal Surgical Case Reports.

o   The manuscript is mostly error-free. A few minor changes (already corrected in the galley proof) are required in the text

 

·       In the 1st sentence of Background in the Abstract, “1:2500” must be replaced with “1 out of 2500” and “with a prevalence of 10%” must be removed as 1:2500 does not equal 10%.

·       In the 3rd sentence of Case Description in the Abstract, “diagrammatic” is misspelled.

·       In the 2nd sentence of the 1st paragraph of Background, “the” and “.” in “2.500” must be removed.

·       In the 4th and last sentences of the 1st paragraph of Background, “BHs” must be replaced with “BH”.

·       In the last sentence of the 1st paragraph of Background, “postero-lateral” must be written without hyphen.

·       In the 2nd sentence of the 5th paragraph of Discussion and Conclusions, “laparo-” must be replaced with “laparoscopically”.

·       In the 2nd sentence of the last paragraph of Discussion and Conclusions, “,” must be inserted after “cases”.
