Upper Abdominal Primary Retroperitoneal Cyst with Unusual Urothelial Histogenesis - An Uncommon Presentation Masquerading as a Hepatic Cyst

Review Data

Aim of the report: To enrich the medical community with the information about a rare case of a primary upper abdominal retroperitoneal urothelial cyst that was mimicking a hepatic cyst.

The manuscript is of very high interest to the journal Surgical Case Reports.

Although the report of a case similar to the one described in the manuscript is available in the existing literature (shown here), the benign character of a primary retroperitoneal cyst, the occurrence of the lesion near the liver despite being of urothelial origin, and the young age of the patient makes this case especially unique.

The manuscript is well-written, and the description provided in support of the case is apt.
