Mid-Term Clinical and Morphological Outcomes After Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair for Complicated Type B Aortic Dissection

Purpose and Significance of Study: This study attempted to explore the early and mid-term clinical efficacy of thoracic endovascular aortic repair treatment for Stanford complicated type B aortic dissection. It showed a low mortality rate of mid-term follow-up outcomes.

Fit with Scope of Journal: The manuscript is of very high interest for the Journal of Integrative Cardiology Open Access.

The manuscript has some minor errors (already corrected in the galley proof), which are listed below.

Some common errors noted are –

·       Omission of verbs in the sentence, e.g., before “still” in the 1st sentence of the 4th paragraph of the Introduction, before “defined” in the 1st sentence of the 2nd paragraph of Assessment of the aortic remodeling in the Methods, and so on.

·       Some words were started with a capital letter in the middle of a sentence in some places unnecessarily, e.g., “malperfusion”, “rupture”, “aortic”, “adjunctive”, “medication”, etc.

·       Confusion of number, e.g., “stabilize” and “precipitate” must be replaced with “stabilizes” and “precipitates” respectively in the 2nd sentence of Conclusion in the Abstract, “was” must be replaced with “were” in the 2nd sentence of Early events in the Results, and so on.

·       Improper use of punctuations, e.g., “;” after “segment” must be removed in the 1st sentence of the 3rd paragraph of Introduction, “.” Must be inserted before “Between” in the 3rd sentence of Study design and patients in the Methods, “,” after “2012” must be removed in the 4th sentence of the same paragraph, and so on.

  Under Conclusion –

·       In the last sentence, “from” must be replaced with “for”, and “incidence” must be removed.

In the Introduction –

  In the 1st paragraph –

·       In the 5th sentence, “rated” must be replaced with “was”, and “nearby” must be replaced with “near”.

In the Methods –

  Under TEVAR procedure details –

  In the 2nd paragraph –

·       In the 1st sentence, “and the” must be inserted before “mean length”.

In the Discussion –

  In the 2nd paragraph –

·       In the 7th sentence, “;” must be inserted after “TBAD”.

  In the 3rd paragraph –

·       In the 1st sentence, “preferred” is misspelled.

  In the 4th paragraph –

·       In the 1st sentence, “the” must be inserted before “conclusion”.

In the 7th paragraph –

·       In the last sentence, “a” before “vital” must be removed.

In the last paragraph –

·       In the 1st sentence, the sentence must end at “settings”.

In the Limitations –

·       In the 2nd sentence, “area’s” must be removed.

In the Conclusion –

·       In the 1st sentence, “increase” must be replaced with “increased”.
