Comments:

The study is well designed and executed. The Methods and Results are adequately described. The Discussion section summarizes from the results of the study that the inhibition of ZNF485 in bladder cancer cell line T24 and 5637 can inhibit the proliferation and promote the apoptosis of cancer cells. It offers a thorough and detailed analysis of the findings of the present study taking all the relevant literature into account. The study is well supported with figures and statistical data. The article provides relevant information for further investigation of the molecular functions of ZNF485, and the fine mechanism for the ZNF485-regulated tumorigenesis of bladder cancer.

Further comments on the paper

Comments: Bladder cancer is one of the most prevalent genitourinary malignancies globally. This study performs the RNA-seq assays and identifies a new gene zinc finger protein 485, termed ZNF485, which is highly expressed in the tissues of bladder cancer patients. The target genes and the physiological function of ZNF48 currently remain unknown and the precise mechanism of ZNF485 in cancer development is still unclear. This study holds significance as it provides evidence that ZNF485 is involved in the tumorigenesis of bladder cancer, which might be a potential therapeutic biomarker for the treatment of this disease.

Q: Would you recommend this manuscript for further publication?
