Late Side Effects after Radiation Therapy in Patients with Prostate Cancer: 2D vs 3D vs IMRT

Purpose and Significance of Study: This is a comparative study of the long-term side-effects of the different kinds of radiotherapy – 2D, 3D-CRT and IMRT, and even radical prostatectomy and hormonal therapy. Although the sample size (68) is quite small, this study provides useful information, lacking in the current literature. 

Fit with Scope of Journal: The manuscript is of very high interest for the journal Clinical Oncology and Research. 

o   The minor errors in the manuscript are listed below – 

In the Abstract section – 

  Under 1^st paragraph – 

·       In the 2^nd sentence, “from radiotherapy” must be inserted after “toxicities”. 

·       In the 2^nd and 3^rd sentences, “3D-RCT” must be replaced by “3D-CRT”. 

In the Introduction section – 

  In the 3^rd paragraph – 

·       In the last sentence, “thereby” must be removed. 

  In the 4^th paragraph – 

·       In the 1^st sentence, “3D-RCT” must be replaced by “3D-CRT”.

·       In the 1^st sentence, “associations” must be singular, “the” must be inserted before “late” and “treatment” and “were” must be replaced by “was”.
