abstract ={Synovial chondromatosis is a benign metaplastic disorder, rarely located in the temporomandibular joint.
The present study describes a 50-year-old woman with unilateral pre-auricular pain, crepitus and swelling
of the area. The clinical, imaging, surgical and histopathological findings established the diagnosis of
unilateral TMJ synovial chondromatosis.}
